Nestled in the hills of the Shomron, the Yishuv of Tzufim is located about 10 kilometers north of Kfar Saba, and 15 kilometers west of the well-known settlement of Karnei Shomron.
Tzufim was established in 1989.
Our population of 320 families epitomizes the concept of kibbutz
galuyot with residents originating from across the globe and coming
from varied backgrounds. The majority of people own their own homes,
though there are a few rental opportunities available. Facilities include
a well-stocked “makolet”, offices, a library, community centers,
a basketball court, a communal synagogue complex, and a women’s mikvah. There are extra curricular
activities for both adults and children including various types of sports
and music activities. There are two active youth movements, Bnei
Akiva, and Betar as well as secular and religious youth counselors providing
after hours enrichment to the older teens. Education: There is a formal nursery school
as well as private people who look after infants. There are numerous
kindergartens catering to the religious and secular population.
Tzufim does not have a school though there are a wide range of nearby
excellent schooling alternatives available to suit all needs and ideologies.
Transport is provided in most cases. Religious life: The synagogue complex houses
3 minyanim, Central/Ashkenazi, Sepahrdic and Teimani minyanim.
Minyanim run throughout the week. There is a daf yomi shiur given
by the Rav, as well as other shiurim for men and women and Talmud Torah
for children. There are a number of voluntary initiatives such as the “gmach smachot” that are run privately. Tzufim boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere. Children enjoy wonderful educational opportunities and a terrific sense of freedom and security. Due to the diverse nature of the population Tzufim is well suited to most people who are looking to live in a Yishuv that is not too far from the city, but certainly a part of the Shomron. |
