Ancient Shomron – Sebastia
Kings and Prophets walked its streets. Come and discover its secrets!
Shavei Shomron: Parking for cars - departure point both for the march on foot and for the buses.
Central Succa and bouncy castles for children.
Ancient Shomron: 10.00 – 15.00 Drumming circle with ancient instruments, guided tours, street actors as characters from the Bible, shows for children, ancient artwork.
16.00: central show in the old theater: "Tuvia and Maximus make Miraculissimus"
* Central car-park in Shavei Shomron where the march on foot will leave from/* buses between 10.00 and 14.00 for those who find it difficult to walk long distances /* after 15.00 there will no longer be entry to the site.

On the Path of Time of the Northern Shomron
An experience in nature for all the family from 10.00 – 16.00
The Dotan Valley Farm – a shady walking track where we will meet up with the story of the Dotan Valley and the Northern Shomron in a multi-sensory experience – observation points, Biblical characters, music and aromas from the past.
The Rechan Forest – Bet HaYearan – an observation point and family walking trek. Activities for children, walking tours, bicycle trips and more.
10 NIS per person/70 NIS per family – separate bicycle trip.

Ancient Shomron – Sebastia. Kings and prophets walked its streets.

Arrive at Shavey Shomron where you will have a parking lot for cars, a central Succa and bouncy castles for children. From there you will see the departure point to Sebastia, approx. 1hr walk – suitable for strollers. Buses from the departure point to Sebastia will be available between 10:00-14:00 for those who find the distance too difficult to walk.

Entrance to Sebastia will NOT be permitted after 14:00

Buses back to the parking lot will be available all day.

Driving direction:

From Tel Aviv: take route 55 from Cfar Saba to Kedumim through Alfey Menashe, Karney Shomron. Approx. 2 KM from Kedumim take the left turn towards Shavey Shomron.

From Jerusalem: take route 60 from Chizm'e check point through Ofra, Shilo, Eli till Tapuh junction through Hawara take a left turn to Yitzhar Junction, at the next intersection make a left and an immediate right to Shavey Shomron.

Rechan Forest Nature reserve

Between 10:00-16:30 a guided tour of the observation point "Beit Ha'Yaran" (forester house) will start every odd hour (11, 13 etc) each tour is 1.5hr long – suitable for families. Throughout the day there will be several family activities in the area: art and crafts for children, baking Pitot, shows and bicycle riding to Shaked Forest (extra charge of 85NIS)

A Kosher Succa will be available.

The Dotan Valley Farm (Ma'oz Tzvi)10:00-16:30: a circular tack approx. 1hr long –(higher level walking, NOT SUTIBLE FOR STOLERS) with guiding stops along the way that will teach the story of Ganim, Kadim, Chomesh and Sa-Nur- the four Yishuvim that were uprooted, with music, shows and theater . Arts & Crafts from the nature: various works with wool, building a Mobile from the natural surroundings and drawing with sand and soil.

A Kosher Succa will be available.

Driving Directions (there are road signs):

Through route 6: exit on Iron interchange, turn east to road 65 (a right turn if coming from the south). Notice the sign: Kazir, Shaked – take a right turn to Kazir on road 596. You pass Kazir and continue on straight.

To Rechan Forest Nature Reserve: make a right turn at the brown sign "Um Rechan Nature Reserve" – Parking is available.

To The Dotan Valley Farm (Ma'oz Tzvi): continue on road 596towards "Mavo Dotan" , the road curves, pass the army check point and after a few more minutes you arrive at "Mavo Dotan", at the entry gate take a left to a side road to the farm (Ma'oz tzvi) – parking is available.
