David Ha’ivri – Executive Director

David Ha’Ivri is the director of the Shomron Liaison Office and spokesman for the Shomron Regional Council, the largest regional council, by area, in the State of Israel. Under his leadership, the Liaison Office has pursued groundbreaking work in advocating for the rights of Shomron’s Jewish residents and communicating their daily struggles and unique perspectives to domestic and international media. In his varied capacities, Ha’Ivri has developed initiatives to strengthen and grow Jewish communities in the Shomron region, with projects ranging from promoting Biblical tourism to economic development and international twinning programs for students and communities. 

An American by birth, Ha’Ivri’s family immigrated to Israel in his youth. He studied in Israel’s naval academy and served in the country’s defense forces. A political commentator, writer, thinker and activist, Ha’Ivri has hosted numerous foreign leaders and dignitaries, and is highly sought after as a renowned guest speaker, including before the European Parliament. 

He routinely comments on background and gives interviews to such international media outlets as the New York Times, CNN, al Jazeera and others. A passionate pro-Israel advocate, Ha’Ivri campaigns tirelessly for the security and wellbeing of all Israel’s residents from his home in the Jewish settlement of Kfar Tapuach, where he is a husband and father to eight beautiful children.


Eliezer Braun - Interfaith Liaison

 

Eliezer works with non-Jewish supporters of the Shomron, fostering strong, productive relationships with groups from all over the world.  A frequent traveler and speaker, Eliezer visits Christian communities in North America, Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and the Far East, promoting the work and mission of the Shomron Liaison Office.  Eliezer also gathers financial support for Shomron-related projects through his organization Shuva Israel, found on the web at www.blessingisrael.com.

 Personal Background:  Eliezer grew up in Chicago, Illinois and visited Israel for the first time when he was 15.  Even then, it was clear that he would make Israel his home someday.  Eliezer moved to Israel in 1983, with his family, returning only to serve as an Aliyah, or Immigration Representative for the Jewish Agency and Israeli Consulate for four years.  Eliezer has been engaged in supporting the Shomron initiatives since 1998.  He holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in Judaic Studies from Spertus College of Judaica in Chicago. 




 Oshri David - Resource Development

Oshri is the CEO's executive assistant of the Shomron Liaison Office . He has been fulfilling the position as head of fundraising for the Shomron Liaison Office, an independent NGO affiliated with the Shomron Regional Council. Oshri places a great emphasis on one-to-one relationships with supporters and visitors who visit the Shomron taking them on personal tours of the historical and biblical sites throughout the Shomron. Oshri has enabled many of our visitors to return home not only with an enriching experience that they will cherish, but also as good-will Ambassadors of the Shomron.


Oshri is a graduate of the Business School in Tel Aviv and holds a B.A in Marketing and Finance and an M.B.A in International Management from Derby University. During his professional career Oshri has specialized in marketing management with an emphasis in the field of "transactional analysis", that is translating marketing efforts to sales and developing empirical models that ensure successful sales rates. In his last position he served as the Director of Logistics at Tadiran Systems Ltd.

Oshri is a native son of the City of Haifa, located in the North of Israel. He is a graduate of the "Kotel" Hesder Yeshiva in the Old City of Jerusalem. He is married to Galit  and the proud father of  3 children .
