Volunteer Programs

The Shomron Liaison Office also works to promote social activism, “chessed” (acts of kindness) and charitable causes among the individual residents of the Shomron. Many of our residents – particularly from among the youth are already actively engaged in a wide range of volunteer work and charitable causes, such as raising money and providing help for needy families within our own communities, as well as elsewhere; projects for at-risk youth; religious outreach; and volunteer work with larger national organisations such as Magen David Adom.

The Shomron Liaison Office offers unique opportunities for volunteers from around the world who wish to be involved in various “chessed” programs and other such projects.

Volunteers who wish to help can get involved on many different levels: from working the land and planting trees (there are many farms, orchards and other agricultural projects across the Shomron); to having an active hand in the building of Jewish communities in our homeland; to involvement in “chessed” programs which help the needy in various ways, e.g. distributing food-packages, clothes (particularly during the winter), toys, etc.

We can also offer professionals (such as doctors, teachers, artists, musicians and social workers) the opportunity to be involved by offering their services for a set period where help is desperately needed.
